Kayaking Option: $650 per person
The kayaking option provides passengers with an up-close encounter of Antarctica. Any passenger in good health with basic paddling experience is welcome to join the program. Dry suits, neoprene gloves and personal flotation devices included. Space is limited; please enquire at the time of booking.
Camping Option: $95 per person
The camping option provides passengers with the ultimate camping experience on the ice of the Antarctic Peninsula. Camping in limited to one night per voyage. Insulated sleeping bag, sleeping bag liner, one dry-bag for pillow and change of dry clothes, mountaineering tents, limited number of mountaineering bivy sacks, and insulated sleeping pads are provided. Cross Country Skiing: $550 per person (11/17/2015, 11/27/2015, 12/7/2015)
The cross country skiing option provides passengers with the rare experience to ski the primordial shores of Antarctica. Ski excursions are several hours long. Location, timing, and route are based on current weather conditions. All equipment and guides provided. No special skills required. Available on select departures. Space is limited; please enquire at the time of booking.
Mountaineering: $550 per person (11/17/2015, 11/27/2015, 12/7/2015)
The mountaineering option allows passengers to explore Antarctica as few ever have. No special skills required, but participants do need to be physically fit and ready to enjoy a physically challenging experience. Mountaineering guides lead participants to where few have ever gone. Qualified mountain guide and all equipment including ropes, ice axes and crampons are provided. Available on select departures. Space is limited; please enquire at the time of booking.
Fuel Surcharge: Fuel surcharge may apply in the event of significant fuel price increases.
Mandatory Travel Insurance: All passengers are required to carry valid travel insurance. This insurance must contain medical and evacuation coverage. Cancellation and trip interruption insurance are strongly recommended as well. As any potential evacuation from Antarctica can cost up to $200,000, it is recommended that no policy carry less than this amount of coverage. Pre-departure forms will require information as to travel insurance carrier, policy number, and a 24 hour contact number. ExpeditionTrips strongly recommends that the travel insurance policy covers trip cancellation insurance, trip delay (interruption or after departure coverage), baggage and repatriation.
