This double-sided map features both a topographic and a satellite image map of South Georgia.  It includes the locations of abandoned whaling stations, the route of Shackleton's crossing and brief background notes about South Georgia and its history.

Side A: Shows topographic information including: Coastline and offshore rocks; bathymetry; rock exposure and moraine; elevation information as contours and selected mountain summit heights; place-names; scientific research stations and abandoned whaling stations, and the route of Shackleton's crossing.

Side B: Shows a Landsat ETM+ satelitte image mosaic of the area with selected place-names.  A separate panel includes background notes about South Georgia and its history.
