This pack contains sixteen postcards of the highest quality available. They have been printed directly from the original negatives, which have been held at the Royal Geographical Society since 1929.
Printed on quality heavy card material they invite matting and framing as they are more of a print than a postcard.
Providing a unique record of the amazing tale of the Endurance expedition the sixteen postcards show scenes from the epic adventure of Shackleton and his crew who survived a two year journey of freezing temperatures, the destruction of their ship and sailing Antarctic seas in a small row boat.
All images were taken by expedition photographer Frank Hurley during the Imperial Trans Antarctic Expedition 1914-16.
