This map covers all of Ross Island, Antarctica and the extensive McMurdo Sound vicinity with McMurdo Station and Scott Base marked. Brief highlights of penguin rookeries, crevassed areas and ocean depths. Shown also are McMurdo and Ross Ice Shelves, Beaufort, Black and White Islands, Mount Discovery and Minna Bluff as well as the entire Hillary Coast.
Antarctic continent including the entire Royal Society, Olympic and Asgard Ranges.
Glaciers include Koettlitz, Ferrar, Taylor, Mackay, Fry, and Wilson Piedmont, spreading from the Darwin to the Mawson Glaciers.
The Dry Valleys are covered along with Lakes Vanda, Bonney and Fryxell.
Traverse routes are laid out such as the McMurdo to South Pole Traverse of 1960-61, the Trans-Antarctic expedition of 1959-60, Ross Ice Shelf traverse of 1957-58 and the Victoria Land traverse of 1959-60.
