This spectular black and white image is of an Air Guard C-130 Hercules transport plane at the Geographic South Pole.
The photo has been professionaly hand painted with color photo paint giving it a most unique look. Colors include the orange of the tail rudder, red and blue of the flag and star, and bluish-gray fuselage coloring.

Photo is drymounted on artist foam board. Acid-free double matting consists of a white inner matt, grey outer matt with black core.

Patrick Plaia is a professional photographer living in Eugene, Oregon. In addition to photography Patrick is a first-rate carpenter and as such went to the South Pole where he captured these unique works of art.
